The Ken - March 30
Paul Started us right on time with The Pledge of Allegiance followed by our singing of God Bless America. Our only visitor today was Supreme Court Justice Frank Caruso. Chairs reports were from Chuck Patterson, asking to take a Shred it Sign for in front of our business and to remind us about the new format for the installation of officers to be held at his house on June 14th. Rick Graham reported that we have exceeded last years sponsorships for the Wine Tasting Event. Now lets work on gift baskets.
Mark Tremont was the fine master today. Confessions were from Ron Lavea who just came back from his yearly FLA trip. Mark matched Ron's fine because Mark will be going next week. Mike Austin admitted to cheering for the Coyotes after beating the Sabres. No more confession so Mark quizzed us on trivia regarding Barry Frank and David Caruso. This was in honor of Your Honor Frank Caruso. Lots of laughs and made a few bucks.
Split club was won by Bill Brucker who said the last time he won, we met at Phillip Sheridan. Jim Logan missed the Ace of Spades.
With no further business for the good of the club, Paul introduced our speaker. Supreme Court Justice Frank Caruso is a friend of many Rotarians in the room. Twenty years ago, Judge Caruso ran to be Town Judge. In 2008 Governor George Pataki appointed Frank to the NY State Supreme Court. Judge Caruso has served ever since. Frank told us of many changes the court system has been through during his tenure. Many questions followed. Frank donated to our Rotary club as his charitable contribution.
Meeting adjourned.
