There is a Regional Rotary Workshop on the 28th of February from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Marriott.  Members are encouraged to attend – registration ends Friday.
Posters and Flyers for the wine tasting event where at the meeting for members to take.  Please see Holly for any ideas on Sponsors to purchase sponsor ticket packages or to donate baskets.  Jeff will be sending a flyer and the brochure out to everyone in email.
Mike A.’s daughter went to cheer finals.
Jeff’s son is in Canada with a broken-down truck but it’s okay because he is skiing his way back.
Cathy let us know the Ken-Ton Chamber had a successful State of the Town event at the Tonawanda Castle last Wednesday, they had over 175 people attend.
Scott FINALLY closed on his house – they are getting settled in and may need area rugs from Jeff.
Finemaster: Audrey took the LEADERSHIP of this role today to help in place of Tom and Mike F who could not make it.  She asked the group questions about Leadership Buffalo which only the members that have gone through it could answer – so it was a good meeting for fines (and more fun).
Jim L. won split and Audrey drew her own ticket for ACE of spades.  She got a 4 of Diamonds so the pot remains at $203.00 with a little bump next week!
Scott S. introduced speaker Sarah Bachwitz from Empower Camp.  Sarah is a very accomplished young woman, a Leadership Buffalo graduate, 30 under 30 in 2017, and a Buffalo Niagara Partnership 360 Spotlight.  She also walked the Gobi Desert as part of a water fundraising campaign while working at HSBC.  During this trek, she made a commitment to start the Empower Camp for girls.  It is now a reality.
Empower Camp is a non-profit organization dedicated to always pursuing their vision, providing scholarships to camp, ensuring others feel their energy, believing in feedback, and not standing still!  (literally and figuratively).
They had 27 girls, ages 13 to 18 from 16 different schools attend camp in 2018, they are adding a day next year and piloting a trek for women aged 21+ of Mt. Phelps.  The camp for girls includes challenges, power zones, and real chats through the course of the 2-day experience.
They are always looking for volunteers (18+), they have a supply list on their website, and, of course for everyone to spread the word about the camp to get girls interested in attending!
