President Elect Mark Tramont rang the “bell” promptly at12:30. President Larry opened the meeting followed by the Pledge. Barb opened with God Bless America. Invocation was given by Rick Graham; we were asked to remember Don Cloudsley as he passed away on Thursday. Don was a true Rotarian and will be missed by all. Scott Mason was our guest. Visiting Rotarian was Harold Ruslander from the Buffalo Club.

Joe Stark announced that family names will be handed out for Operation Santa on Sat.12/1, between 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the old meeting place at 3200 Elmwood.

The fine master was Gary Roberts. Confessions from Rick Graham and Ed Markarian and Cousin Jeff for running with turkeys. Mike Austin was fined for giving a standing ovation to Gary. He did not think it was sincere.  I think Barb is fined $5 for getting Harold a face lift? Mark Tramont announced his kids are forgoing exchanging gifts and donating to Operation Santa! Well done. Mark also chipped in generously as did Gary. Gary’s trivia was answered by all except for Pat and Larry.

Last was the split club in which Scott Mason won $17 and Gerry Gentile drew the 5 of diamonds.

President Larry had a club assembly. He spoke about how Rotary International’s theme this year is Peace Through Service. He would like our club to partner with other Rotary Clubs to initiate a day long seminar to serve students with conflict resolution skills as well as discussion about bullying issues, handling peer pressure and stressful situations. This would target children in 8th 9th and 10th grades and also provide their parents with effective communication techniques and other parenting skills. President Larry plans to have an organizational meeting after the regular weekly meeting on Dec 10th from 1:30 to 2:30.

All are welcome!  Please Note:  Several guests from other clubs and from the community are expected to attend both meetings. Please be sure to extend a warm Kenmore welcome!
