On June 24 Tom Lang, Paul Chisholm and Jim Logan sponsored us at the Park Country Club for a wonderful evening, sensually stimulating  our pallet with the deaconates of food, Scotch and tobacco. We met at 6:00 on the patio looking over the 18th green. It was great to socially re-unite with 19 fellow members and  meet new friends as we watched some the golfers approach the last hole. Dinner followed where the PCC chef created several courses to pair with selected Scotches. First course was Balvenle Scotch paired with toasted garlic bread smothered in an olive, anchovy, cheese topping. 2nd course was Glenmorangie Scotch paired with a slice of pork belly served on banana bread French toast. Course 3 was Lagavulin Scotch that was paired with a smoked brisket, cucumber slaw on a toasted slider bun. Our final  desert course  was a fabulous chocolate bomb with crusted graham and pastry crumbs and a drizzle of caramel sauce paired with Drambuie. Yes Drambuie is a Scotch. The Chef did a great job breaking down the flavor of the Scotch to compliment the courses. Afterward we retired back to the patio for a couple of cigars and engage in enlightened conversation. It's always fun to watch side "B" come out after a little Scotch and cigar buzz. Great evening that I'm sure Tom will build from. Thank you. Jeff
