President Brandon opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance at 12:2. Rick Graham led us in prayer.
Paul introduced our guests; Carmen from Platsburgh on zoom is a Rotarian and a friend of Karen. Also 2 guests of Karen were in attendance, Richard and I didn't get the other name. Announcements: Larry is meeting with a Kenmore East advisor to run the interact club. President Brandon inducted our newest member Karen Kulakowski. Welcome Karen! Brandon won the split of $11 and Ron picked the 3 of clubs.
Finemaster Dick asked for confessions and Cathy confessed it was her birthday as well as announcing Brandon's. We celebrated with cupcakes.
Dick stumped the tables with trivia from Shakespeare to Sesame Street. Karen got her first trivia answer correct, well done.
Todays meeting was about getting to know each member so Brandon started with his bio. He coaches hockey and is a Eagle scout, a graduate from UB and Amherst High. Some other highlights are, Rick Graham worked at IBM and is a 29 year financial advisor. Chuck is into malting and is teaching at Bryant and Stratton. Ed Hacherl is a member since 1992 UB grad and a accountant. Tim is a dentist for 44 years and a member for 35. Bill retired 25 years ago and is a UB grad. Ron lives in the house he grew up in since 1955 had perfect attendance for 35 years and collects autographs. Mike Hettler is a member since 1978,has a law firm in Kenmore and a Nichols High grad. Cathy is Pres. of Kenton Chamber grew up in Rochester. Linda is a Villa Maria grad married for 37 years and was with WIVB tv. Donna is married for 34 rears 4 children. Her kids and grandchildren are her hobbies. She hates hockey and was also my work wife at Rainbow for 24 years. Dick is a Eagle Scout, 2 children a D'Youville grad andhis hobby is woodworking. Paul is a UB grad in finance. Own a insurance agency for 30 years and joined in1986. Larry is a Ken East grad has a marketing degree and 25 years perfect attendance. Involved with youth services. Our new member Karen was born in Auburn NY, moved to Arizona and recently moved back to Tonawanda. She is a Registered Dietician and her hobby is swimming.
This was a fun meeting and hope to see all on Monday as we do have a speaker.
