Hendershot. Steve introduced our speaker, Tim Karches, Executive Director of First Tee of WNY. First Tee is a non-profit organization
that teaches lift skills through the game of golf. They have 14 area locations with Brighton being one of them. They teach individual and
group lessions to approximately 20,000 kids per year. They also work in schools with kids in K-12 grade. Our grant awarded to them will
help kids at Brighton directly. Steve's son participates and loves it! Find more on their website at firstteewesternny.org. President Brandon
then present Tim with the big check. Tim was very appreciative of our help.
Larry passed out Save the Dates for KenToberfest and advised everyone to print their own and give them out to friends and family. He has
scheduled Lisa Davidson as a speaker for July 17. Phil won the split club of $9 and Chuck picked the 8 of spades.
Karen was our finemaster and asked for confessions. Cam volunteered at an area high school for a 1/2 day field day. Because of the smoke,
it was held inside instead of out, but the kids still had a great time. Ron's granddaughter was getting married this past Saturday, Cam took the
day off for the Hole in One contest and is getting paid for it. Brandon is playing in the 11 day Power Play from midnight to 3 a.m. on July 1.
Karen then quizzed us on Flag Day trivia and was able to raise some funds. I then had the privledge of presenting our President with a BIG
check for $200 towards sponsoring his team for the power play. Good luck Brandon!
