President Dick opened the meeting at 12:20pm and led us in the pledge of allegiance. Steve led us in invocation. Our guests today were Michelle Lockett from Niagara River Greenway our speaker. Also our Satellite member Jim Jones and Greg Stevens. Mike Ford
brought a guest but I didn’t catch his name. Paul mentioned the date for the cigar and bourbon event at the Park Club is June 24th.On a sad note long time member Keith McBride passed away. Donations can be made to Kenmore Rotary Foundation in his name. President Dick announced the slate for the board(I will send it out as a separate email). Rick made a motion to accept, Paul 2nd all in favor. 3 new members were inducted today, Alisha Ferri, Cameron Kukla and Linda Sroka. Congratulations and welcome aboard! Brandon received his member certificate 1 year later. Mike won the 50/50 and Joe missed the ace of spades. Confessions were made and Rick confessed he was at a dude ranch for a vacation. Mike celebrated his birthday. Finemaster Cathy fine anyone that has never brought in a new member $1.00.No lapel pins $1.00. Our knowledge of June awareness month proved that we are not aware that there are hundreds! Our speaker Michelle Lockett provided a update on what is being done on the greenway trail. A video that she shared with us was from the Riverside Highschool students involvement stocking the river with trout that was raise from there classroom. Fantastic! Michelle shared a map of the river around Isle view where our 2 benches can be placed. Also The Satellite club will participate. A very informative meeting.
