President Brandon opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance at 12:30. Linda led us in prayer.

Larry introduced a UB Rotaract guest Dan Bauman. Dan updated us on their latest project which include a campus clean up as well as their Niagara Greenway Trail cleanup on Saturday 4/29. They also had a pizza fundraiser at Blaze Pizza.

I had a few announcements. Our club cleanup in Isle View Park is Saturday 4/22 from 10-2 and Sat 4/29 10-2 is Shred it. We need volunteers.

Larry announced that he set up a table for our club at the District Conference at NCCC.

Rick gave us a update on the Centennial celebration of our club. The 2nd meeting came up with some great ideas and this will take full participation from ALL members to make this successful.

Steve mentioned that there is a Cub Scout pancake breakfast Saturday 4/22 from 10-2 at St. Marks on Delaware Road.

Brandon introduced our guest speaker Shelly Unocic from Lockport Rotary, she is the President elect.They were chartered on 5/1/1919. They also adopted a trail called the Market Street Trail. They are in the process of raising funds for a pavilion on the trail .There is a Rotary meat raffle and fellowship dinner on 5/19 at the Niagara County Fairgrounds. More info on www.lockportrotary.com. Shelly is also Director at the Cornerstone CFCU Arena. They are having a 2023 Hockey Induction Ceremony on Saturday May 6th at 7pm at the arena. Split club winner was Cathy $11 and ace of spades, Ron picked the 2 of clubs.

Finemaster Steve did asked for confessions and Brandon admitted to vacationing in Mexico. Steve also stumped us on Earth Day trivia: Who founded Earth Day? Gaylord Nelson. What year was the first Earth Day? 1970 and when did it go global? 1990. We didn’t get any correct but we learned something.
