 President Brandon opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance at 12:25. Tim Glor led us in prayer and welcomed Chuck Patterson back, fully recovered.

Holly introduced our guests, Rotarian from the Rotary Club of Buffalo, Gerry Kelly and Denise Amato advisor from Kenmore West, Also our guest speaker Jerry Krajna.

Announcements: Rick Graham let us know that long time Rotarian Ed Gray's wife Nancy passed away.

 Holly announced that Wednesday August 17th Sunshine Day is cancelled.

Board meeting is Friday 8/19 at 8 am.

Cam made a announcement, Saturday9/24 is Kentoberfest 1-7 pm, beer tent food and music. Volunteers are needed, please contact Donna with your t-shirt size. Next meeting is 8/23 6 pm at the Municipal building, all are welcome.

 August 26th Bisons Friday nite baseball.. 

 50/50 Split, Rick won $22! Joe drew a10 of spades.

 Finemaster Jim took confessions, Chuck gladly paid $2 as he is glad to be seen and not viewed. Jim fined Larry $2 for being on time! Cam went to the Renaissance Festival in Sterling, NY and recommends everyone should try to go. Jim fined himself as his daughter had a baby girl. Congratulations. Jim stumped all of us with these trivia questions. When did Apple release the I-Phone? 2007. Who is often referred to as the father of computers? Charles Babich, he was a mathematician and passed away in 1871! Which planet is the hottest in our solar system? Venus.

Larry introduced our speaker. Jerry Krajna ,he has been involved with Riverside Highschool interact for 2 years. The club has 65 members and some of the project are watershed development, a hatchery at the high school, planted 40 trees, adopted a portion of the Niagara River shoreline and decorated a WW1 stone commemorating fallen soldiers. They are a busy bunch.
