Finemaster Rick tested our knowledge of Rotary. First question, percentage of women in Rotary? 22%, we were wrong at 36%.

Year that women were accepted into clubs? 1987. Hollys table was close. No one knew the current President is Jennifer Jones from Canada. Name one theme of Rotary this year? Donna was correct with Imagine Rotary.

Steve introduced our speaker Amanda Scott a Attorney at Pfalzgraf Beinhauer specializing in elder law. Most of there work is in probate, estate planning, Medicaid planning, and long term care. We learned that you can change your will as many times a you like, but it’s the last one that counts. If you don’t have a will then your estate goes to "administration". Which means it is labor intense and costly. Wills done by a attorney are typically not contested, and many times a no contest clause is added. To avoid probate joint ownership on accounts are a good idea. There is much more especially when it gets into Medicaid qualifications so if you have any questions please contact Amanda at 716-204-1055 or scott@pbelderlaw.com. This was a very informative meeting.

Thanks for attending and if you know of someone that would like to speak at Mondays meeting contact Steve. See you Monday.
