President Brandon opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance at 12:21. Bob Paterson led us in prayer.
Paul introduced our guests; Santa from the North Pole and our speaker Sharon Green
Announcements: Steve announced that we raised $3500.00 for operation Santa. Bob gave us the club foundation final distribution amount and it was $38,600. Larry mentioned that we would like to add a bicycle collection to our shred-it event in April.
President Brandon introduced our speaker Sharon Green from Global African Village. They are a all-volunteer nonprofit that assists the impoverished Bagishu people of Uganda. They accomplish this Through education ;infrastructure;& small business development. We can get involved by volunteering. The website is www.globalafricanvillage.org. They are doing some great works.
Steve won $7 on the split and he also drew the 6 of diamonds.
Finemaster Dick asked for confessions; Pauls' grand daughter came in 1st place in her diving competition. Thanks to Dich we were fined several dollars since we didn’t know there are 7 colors in the rainbow and in Georgia it is illegal to eat fried chicken with a fork. That should be a federal law! Brandon saved us by knowing that the platypus is the only mammal that lays eggs.
Mondar 12/19 we have Michelle Lockett from Niagara Greenway so please try to attend as this is informative as to what our club has committed too.
