Dick began our meeting with the pledge. It appears we had 14 people in attendance. Dick updated us on our meeting venues once we can attend. We will meet at the Elmwood Ken – Ton Commons, the old Phillip Sheridan School. The first and third Wednesday (and 5th if necessary) will be lunch meetings and the 2nd and fourth Wednesday will be 8:00 am meetings.
Pat has Shred – It all set for August 22 from 10:00 – 2:00. It will be at the Elmwood Ken – Ton Commons. 3200 Elmwood Ave. We will have to make do. The schools will not allow any type of gatherings on their properties yet. We will post this to facebook and as we get closer, we will perhaps boost these posts. Dick had great success in the past. Steve Blass has volunteered to be an administrator on our Kenmore Rotary facebook page. The discussion turned to keeping up our presence with facebook and more content on our website. The other clubs, West Seneca in particular, has an impressive website. This falls on me. Perhaps Steve, you can nudge me to keep up to date. This forum allows us to communicate everything our club does to the public. The more content we put up, the easier we are to find with the ad words we use. The problem is it takes time. Pat let us know our club can donate a $500 scholarship per student. Ken Ton meals on wheels and Kenton cares were able to get $2000 each.
Bob Patterson needs the nominations for our Foundation posted in the Ken. Nominated for 2020 - 2021 Officers are Robert Patterson, President, Ed Markarian, Vice President and Secretary and Mike Hetler for Treasurer. Nominations for the board for 2020 – 2021 are Robert Patterson, Mike Austin, and Mike Hetler. Thank you all for your commitment. Susan and James Jones gave a little presentation about our Satellite Club. The closing down really hurt them with their membership. But it was great to hear their enthusiasm. With no further agenda, meeting adjourned.
