President Brandon opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance at 12:25

President Brandon invited Brian Hettler up and introduced him.
Brian told us he works for a group called the Rain Forest Conservation & Participatory Mapping
Group which was also known as The Amazon Conservation Team. He has applied for grants
from the Kenmore Rotary Foundation to help build Dormitories for one of the indigenous tribes
in the Columbia, South America. He showed us the Dormitory that we had funded, and a
bathroom that we had funded. He told us about the three areas of interest to their group.
These were Land, Livelihood, and Governance. One of the areas they have also been involved in
is the recording of native stories in their original language, capturing their traditions on film,
and mapping their properties and helping them secure title to the lands they occupy. It was
fascinating to learn about these tribes and that so much of what they believed still was around.

John Coogan ran the split club Ace of Spades contest.

Brandon stepped in as the Fine master and there were many confessions [since we
haven’t had fines for the last few weeks].
