The Ken

11/15/2021

Fine Master: Donna DiFrancesco

Table Attendance & Split Club: Cameron Kukla

Invocation: Tim Glor

The Ken: Donna DiFrancesco

Another small meeting called to order by acting President Donna at 12:21 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a heartfelt prayer by Tim Glor.

Chuck announced that the Foundation is now accepting applications for this years grant disbursement. There is an updated request form on our website. These requests are due by the first week of December. If you know of any group or organization in need, please direct them our way. Paul reminded everyone about the Ken-Ton Holiday Gala on December 7 at Park Country Club. There will be a 3-hour open bar, along with food stations, basket raffle and silent auction. RSVP to Cathy P at the chamber by Wednesday 11/17/2021. Make checks payable to Kenmore Rotary Charities. Steve Blass attended the Christmas Bash for Kids at the Knights of Columbus this past Sunday and said it was well attended with over 100 guests. There were many presents collected and Kenmore Rotary will be sending them a check also. Cameron will be volunteering every Monday in February with Home Beneath Our Feet and will let us know when they will be needing additional help. If you’ll remember, they spoke at a meeting in August.  There will be NO meeting next week, 11/22, in observance of Thanksgiving.

Split club of $5 was won by Mike Hettler and Donna picked the 8 of spades.

Fine master Donna only asked for confessions. Cameron went to NYC for the weekend to meet his fiancée’s parents and attend his first Buffalo Bills away game. He had a great time. Paul took a golfing trip to the Outer Banks for 4 days and didn’t golf at all but he did get sick (just a cold thankfully). Chuck played a round of golf on Friday and it has snowed every day since. Ed H. went to Ft. Lauderdale for 4 days and he actually got to play golf! Mike H. went to Hilton Head for vacation and has another vacation coming up to Anna Maria Island. I found that the central theme to this week’s confessions was travel and golf. I’m sure it felt great for everyone to get away after the past year and a half.  Dick will be putting in $20 next week for missing the meeting this week.

There was no speaker, so the meeting was adjourned at 12:40. Friendship and good food was enjoyed by all.  Happy Thanksgiving!
